Wake Up Your Campus is operated by Share the Love, Inc.
We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By visiting or participating in the Wake Up Your Campus Challenge or sponsoring a student, you agree to this Policy.
What Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to operate the program and communicate with you:
• Basic identifiers – name, email, and (if applicable) school name, shipping address, or phone number.
• Sponsorship and transaction details – information collected during checkout, including payment amount and method (securely processed by Shopify).
• Automatically collected information – limited technical data such as IP address, device type, and general location through cookies or analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
We do not knowingly collect or sell sensitive data such as financial account numbers or government IDs.
Cookies, Analytics & Advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and performance and may use the Facebook Pixel to measure ad conversions.
We do not upload email lists for targeting or sell your personal information. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide an opt-out mechanism.

Notice of Financial Incentive
Participation in the Wake Up Your Campus Challenge or student sponsorships may include entries, giveaways, or rewards in exchange for limited personal information (like your name and email). This qualifies as a “financial incentive” under privacy law.
• What we collect: name, email, and optional social handles.
• Why: to verify entries, contact winners, and share updates.
• Value: estimated at $1–$2 per participant based on administrative costs.
• Choice: participation is voluntary; you may withdraw or unsubscribe any time by emailing lets@wakeupyourcampus.com.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Process donations and student sponsorships through Shopify Checkout
• Administer and verify challenge entries
• Communicate updates, events, and prizes
• Improve programs and fulfill legal or reporting requirements
We never sell or rent your personal information.
Sharing of Information
We may share your information only with:
• Trusted service providers (e.g., Shopify, email and fulfillment partners)
• Campus or ministry partners to coordinate student participation
• Legal or security authorities when required by law
All partners are bound to maintain confidentiality and use data only for the agreed purpose.
Data Retention
• Sponsorship and donation records: kept up to 7 years for accounting and compliance.
• Challenge and email communications: retained up to 3 years or until you unsubscribe.
After that, information is securely deleted or de-identified.
Security
We use reasonable technical and administrative safeguards to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take care to prevent unauthorized access.
Your Rights
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
• Access, correct, or delete your personal information
• Opt out of marketing or future sale/share of data

Children’s Privacy
Wake Up Your Campus is intended for college students (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it.

We may update this Policy periodically and will post a new effective date when we do.
All sponsorship transactions are securely processed through Shopify, which manages payment data under its own Privacy Policy
